IEDLI is Coming to Berlin!

After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the International Emergency Department Leadership Institute (IEDLI) annual meeting will be held in-person, in Berlin, Germany this October.

IEDLI is an educational program that provides training for emergency department leaders in any part of the world. Physicians, nurses, administrators, and other healthcare professionals who currently hold or are interested in pursuing a leadership role in an emergency department are encouraged to attend. Participants have come to IEDLI from 45 countries and greatly benefit from sharing experiences and building an international network.

The IEDLI program offers four interactive courses consisting of didactic lectures, Q&A seminars, workshops, and group work. The courses focus on real-life challenges faced by emergency departments, and are taught by expert faculty from Harvard Medical School, Mass General Brigham, and other elite institutes around the world. IEDLI faculty members have extensive experience developing and improving emergency departments and provide invaluable personal mentoring to attendees.

At IEDLI, you will delve deep into current challenges facing emergency departments and work in groups to solve critical issues in real-world scenarios. Topics are chosen to reflect the most pressing issues in emergency departments today. This year you can expect to learn about overcrowding, administrative structure, staffing, triage, controlling costs, challenges arising from the pandemic, and much more.
